RCT Documentation Centre and Library

The RCT Documentation Centre and Library holds the world's most extensive special collection of published documents on torture and related subjects. In addition to books, reports, and articles the library holds a large collection of pictures and videomaterials.

The library is open to the public. Remote users are welcome to contact the library with requests for literature and information. Loan of books from the collection is limited, but the library is willing to assist users by providing photocopies of articles, reports etc., within the framework of existing copyright regulations. The library's services are free of charge.

Opening hours: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays: 9.30 a.m. -16.00 p.m. Wednesdays: 12.00 - 16.00 p.m.

Visitors are very welcome, but are encouraged to make an appointment in advance, if possible.

Guest users of the library can search the database and save and print search results, without logging in. Registered users can set up personal news lists within their specific fields of interest, and will be notified of new personalised services as they become available.
